This is by far my favorite restaurant in the surrounding Sesame Place Area. I have visited Sesame Place for the 3rd year in a row with my wife and daughter and therefore, it is my 3rd visit to Cancun Mexican Restaurant. We always make it a point to come here when we are in the Langhorne area. Their food is terrific. My favorite in this restaurant or any other Mexican restaurant is the standard Enchiladas and Tacos. Even the Fajitas my wife likes so much are really good. We always get the "Bulldog" drink to compliment my meal. It is the Corona beer that is pouring into the margarita. Service is great since this a family-owned restaurant. They told us that they have groups, small and big and regular customers all the time. I am not surprised why. Our day trip to Sesame Place is never complete without dinner here at Cancun before heading home to NY. I wish there was a location in NY.

This was the best local Mexican place I could find after moving here but sadly this was my last visit. We went for an early Saturday dinner. We ordered an 8.00 appetizer of guacamole. It looked like it was made hours ago. So unappealing but we tried it and it tasted as bad as it looked. My friend ordered the burrito San Jose with the rice and beans on the side. The rice cAme on the side, but no beans. We asked the waiter and he said oh there's only a little bit in there, you can eat it. We said that's not what we ordered he smiled and basically told us "ioh its only just a little bit, funny amount" and It was clear after several attempts he wasn't taking it back. We left 3/4 of the guacamole. The adults were full but my poor niece needed a new dinner when we got home. The owner is great and had he been there this wouldn't have happened. He showed up when we were finishing up and we felt it was unfair to complain at that point. I generally a 20% tipper and it pains me to leave less, but no pain was felt when I left way less for the uncooperative server. My quest for good local Mexican will continue!

My boyfriend and I came here with two regulars so we were given recommendations. We took their advice. We both ordered mango margaritas. For dinner I ordered combo number one which comes with two enchiladas, 1 taco, and Spanish rice. I wanted one chicken and one beef enchilada, and a beef taco.. everything on my plate was awesome. Not very spicy but delish still. The rice was my favorite. It was nice to try a few different things. Overall it's definitely Tex-Mex more than Mexican, and there is nothing wrong with that. I will be back.

I'm undecided on this place. I visited it once and placed a double order. It was alright but not great. I will need to visit again and try more of the menu to render a full final opinion.

Excellent food and service. Friendly to families, beautifully painted furniture provides much for kids to look at while waiting. Staff works like a team getting the food to the table fresh, flavorful, fast, and sizzling. I had our three children share a regular meal instead if getting three kids meals which worked great. I had fajitas mix of steak and chicken.

Came here with the bae's fam jam while visiting the US to have a nice dinner. Tasty chips and salsa to start. The highlight was the guac, very fresh and yummy. I enjoyed my meal but it wasn't my favourite Mexican food I have had in my life. The service was friendly enough. I wish I had a better command of the Spanish language as I feel it would have been useful in ordering our meals. The majority of our group does not eat beef, but somehow it ended up that everyone had chicken filled everything, including people who didn't order their meal that way. We ordered a couple of desserts to share and finish the meal, deep fried ice cream and a banana chimichanga, both of which were tasty. Ole Cancun!

I love Cancun! From the fun bright Mexican decor, to the chips and salsa. The staff is always friendly. The food is always hot, and delicious.

Good decent place to eat. Not the best but better than most chains and other places in the area. One of the only good places to eat around sesame.

Decent Mexican food, good serving sizes. Huge Margaritas! Service was good too. If you are looking for inexpensive Mexican this is ok

Awesome food and prices!! Some of the best Mexican food in the area. The taco salad is fabulous, and the combo plates are great!!! They even have a vegetarian menu!!!

Having spent a lot of time in "Mexican Florida", I had high hopes for this place, lodged in a somewhat run down strip mall on the other side of Oxford Valley mall. I was with a medium-sized party, and we ordered a decent variety of items from the menu (from chiles rellenos, to a combo plate, and a number of fajitas and tacos). It was mediocre. Reminded me of what you might get at a Mexican place in Epcot. It's clear from the menu that the owner had intended to start up an authentic Mexican place, but when faced with the unceasing mediocrity of the whitebread Bucks County palate, had to start making more and more compromises. The food was bland and somewhat rubbery (especially the Chile Relleno), largely lacking in spice (in either seasoning or heat). I feel like it was better here before, but it's entirely possible that my tastes have changed as I've transitioned from a "Chipotle" hipster to a "no-English-spoken, taco truck in the middle of the swamp" hipster. In fairness, if you're looking for a way to start expanding your boundaries past the Neshaminy Mall "on the border", this is a great, inoffensive transition.

We come to this restaurant every time we are in the area and always have a great experience, we will be sure to come back. Not only is the food delicious, the meals are a great value and there are tons of menu items to choose from. The complimentary chips and salsa are fantastic. The service is consistently pleasant and friendly. Plus, the servers can carry 8 plates at a time... Impressive.

We were really suprised at how good this place was. Chips were hot and salsa so good even the kids filled up too much. I ordered the chicken flautas and a tamale, my husband got the everything plate. The kids had tacos but ordered the mango water and i wanted to steal their drinks. The tamale was Amazingly good. I found that I ordered too much food and ended up horking down the tamale and not giving the flautas much of a chance.. my husband said the stuffed Chile releno was the best he's had. Coming from W TX I really didn't have high hopes for this place, but it surpassed my expectations in a big way

Cancun is a a damn decent Mexican food spot in my opinion. I am a Mexican from California, so I know good Mexican food when I smell and taste it. Now would this place get 4 or 5 stars back home, absolutely not, but east coast gringos are an entirely different breed. Cancun does an excellent job catering to their population and are super kid friendly. Keep up the good work Cancun (ps I love your frijoles)!

Loved this place! First time there and it won't be the last! From the hand carved and painted chairs and booth partitions, this place will keep ya lookin' for a while, to the Spanish channel on the TV's, this place has ambiance. The dishes I and my companion had were delicious. The staff was very attentive and kept asking if everything was alright and if they could get us anything else. The Chicken Chile Rellento was awesome, not to mention the Enchilada Supreme. So many items on the menu I want to try. Definitely will be back! For all the negative reviews, :P

My family and I had one of the best Mexican meals we have ever had at this restaurant. The atmosphere is fun and laid back, and the restaurant was extremely clean, which I always appreciate. The wait staff was friendly and the service was quick. The food was so authentic and fresh. You could tell they make the tortilla chips by hand from fresh ingredients. All of the vegetables used were a great color, the corn and flour tortillas tasted homemade. My husband had the Pollo Adobe and I had the Quesadilla Mexicana - both were perfectly seasoned and delicious.

Great place and they now sell alcohol . My wife and i have struggled with finding any good Mexican food in the area and this is the best by far. Staff was very attentive and they passed the most important test - great guacamole.

Read reviews on yelp and picked the place since I'm from out of town and was visiting Sesame Place with my family. Great food for the whole family in a casual environment. Great fajitas , fresh made tortillas, chips, salsa, excellent black beans. Great service. Quick turn around time from ordering to getting your meal. Very reasonable prices. Try a bullfrog margarita. A definite come again when I'm here for our next visit to the theme park.

Place looks simple, but food is exceptional! I had shrimp and crab burrito. Absolutely thrilled. Big plus- everything is freshly made, and literally taken right out of oven, even chips were hot. It's very important for me, since I'm allergic to onions and food has to be made freshly without onions. Majority of Mexican restaurants have everything pre-maid and so I can't eat there.

Stopped by this place on the way to Philly. I grew up in the south, where this type of Tex-Mex restaurant is everywhere. When I moved up north, I couldn't find any place like it. THIS is the place - same menu, same decor, same atmosphere. The only thing that wasn't quite as I had hoped was the cheese dip. It was slightly thicker and had a different flavor that the cheese dip I've been dreaming about ever since I moved up here. Overall, it's not the place to go if you're craving authentic quality Mexican food. BUT the food is exactly what I've been missing so it holds a special place in my heart! Go for any of the combinations or lunch specials - you can't go wrong!

My "go-to" spot for authentic Mexican food. Although the presentation could be better, the food tastes outstanding! Great for eat-in with good service or take-out! I highly recommend Cancun!

Great atmosphere! Good food!! Service very good. Carved painted furniture very festive!! Would make the drive from Doylestown to visit again!

BEST Mexican restaurant in Lower bucks County! Used to go to On the Border, which was really the only other option. The staff are SO friendly and helpful, food is AMAZING, kind of pricey for Levittown (depending on what you get) but it is well worth it! Great place to go for authentic Mexican, and a fun, family-friendly atmosphere!

    (5)
  • Ronnie R.

Very plain Mexican place. Service was decent, food was average. I ordered the steak ranchero and the onions were few and far between. The tortillas were a little rough and chewy. The guacamole was pretty good, but I must say it was average at best! The prices were kind of high for such mediocrity. One to describe the place? Decent. Wouldn't go back.

Mango margarita on the rocks was amazing, and the food was really good, it was cheap and good. Salsa and chips they bring you is amazing

My wife and I like Mexican food but it been hard finding a good local place. This isn't exactly local but its not real far either. Both my wife and I like this place. The food is always pretty good and the atmosphere isn't bad either. The wait staff is very attentive. There is a much bigger Mexican place (Margaritas) just around the corner from this place which is the worst place I've been too. Make sure you don't go there by accident. Cancun is in a stip mall on Rt 1.

  • Shawn C.

I grew up on Mexican food, like authentic Mexican and this place is Delicious! My husband loved the enchiladas and burritos! I got the steak Mexicana, (steak with japs and onions, rice and beans, and tortillas) so yummy!!! OMG and the Tamales ( something I haven't yet perfected myself) SOOo good! Chips and salsa to start are awesome too, as well as the frozen lime margarita I washed it down with. Just for the record I don't like Taco Bell or On the Border bc it's fake Mexican...so Im very picky about where to get Mexican that's as good as I can cook at home and this place is it! We just got home and already planning to take out friends for our next date night! Oh and btw our check was 30 bucks! Great price for great food!

We came here for lunch on a Saturday during the holidays. The place was not crowded but had a good amount of traffic. The chips and salsa they provided were warm and fresh tasting. We ordered enchiladas, tacos and kids quesadilla. Each item ordered came with standard Mexican rice and refried beans. Everything was hot and prepared properly. Lots of flavor in everything. Service was prompt. Overall very good and a great find. We will return.

Tonight was my first night eating at Cancun. The food was pretty good. I would recommend the cheese sauce with your chips. The fried ice cream was delicious. There was some confusion with the staff about what food goes to which table, but soon as you got your food it was worth the wait. I did get a margarita on the rocks. It was just "ok". I thought that it being a Mexican restaurant it would of been better, but the food made up for the drinks.

Cheerful, quick service, good food, close to Sesame Place with a great kids menu, lots of vegetarian options. We went on a Sunday evening and had great service and tasty food. Definitely will be back.

My wife and I just moved here and had a craving for Mexican food. We decided to try Cancun. I'm glad we did. Food was hot and very good. Service was quick and friendly. I had a particular request for my dinner and they made it exactly how I asked for it. The margarita was so delicious, I had two. I would definitely come back again.

We came here for lunch, it was delicious, I was a little hesitant trying a new Mexican place, but I was surprisingly impressed. The lunch specials are a perfect size, very good priced and everyone in the party enjoyed our food. Service was good, except it would of been helpful had our server told us pay of front, it resulted in us sitting an additional 15 mins but all was well! I would return here again

I really enjoy this place. It's in a strip mall on the other side of the Oxford Valley Mall. When you walk in, there is a sign in sheet on the counter that you should sign immediately to get on the wait list. We went during the evening rush on a Saturday. We waited about 5 minutes for a table for 2. There is plenty of seating in this place. I ordered the Chicken Enchiladas and my wife ordered the Steak Fajitas. Both were very good. The chips and salsa were also really good. I ordered a Mexican Bulldog Margarita (Margarita with a Corona turned upside down) and it was also pretty good. The food came very quickly and we were in and out in under 30 minutes. My type of meal. I would recommend this place if you want to try another Mexican spot besides On the Border.

Went on a Friday evening with husband and two kids in tow. It was just before the evening rush, so we were seated within ten minutes (hint to first-timers, there is a sign-in sheet on the counter). Our waiter (sadly we did not catch his name) was very friendly and took our orders quickly and the food was ready in under ten minutes! We were floored by the expediency. The food over all was good. The salsa and chip was excellent. Chips were warm and the salsa, though I love it hot, was tasty and mild enough for the kids to enjoy. Both my kids ordered the cheese quesadilla with french fries which they loved. Though mama thought it looked a little scant, just IMHO. My husband ordered the enchilada rancheros, which he said was very good; I ordered the chicken enchilada with mole sauce, which I thought is was a little too sweet, but nevertheless was tasty. The adult entrees did not come with rice so we needed to order it as a side. Patrons pay at the counter, which by the time we left the waiting area was filled to capacity a paying line ensued going into the restaurant, which in turn encroached on some diners. So if you are going to be seated make sure it is well within the restaurant. Overall we had a very good experience, the food was good at the right price. However going during peak times is not advisable.

Not a bad Tex-mex place. Would of liked it to be a bit more authentic then it turned out but still a step up from on the border and margaritas. More a 3.5

This is the only non-chain Mexican restaurant I've been to, and I love it. The furniture are painted with all sorts of fun and colorful designs, and it's a really laid-back place to eat. The staff are all really friendly, and they greet and thank you in Spanish. They give your table warm, slightly salted tortilla chips to start and a jar of salsa that you can pour into a little bowl. The salsa isn't spicy, which is good for me. Yum. As for the food, I've only been for lunch, but I love ordering the lunch specials so I can have some of everything. I've tried almost everything on that menu, and you really can't go wrong. The list of specials seems to cover most of the possible combinations, and they're all a great, low price. They were closed (to recover from a kitchen fire, I think) when I swung by a few months ago. I hope they're back open so I can go back soon!

I am by no means Mexican BUT I have been to Mexico several times and ate at authentic restaurants "off the resort". I also have a Mexican aunt in Texas who has given me a few cooking lessons. This makes me comfortable to say that this spot is the closest I have EVER had to real deal Mexican food in the Northern part of this country. Someone was paying very close attention to their abuela's cooking skills and recipes. Seriously, the food here is muy bueno. Cancun is no On The Border, my any means. I was not sure what to expect my first visit here but it seriously exceeded my expectations. I have never had a bad meal here. AND they sell the popular Mexican drink Jarritos in multiple flavors - try the mango!

  • Mike A.

The single best Mexican place I have ever been to! The staff are authentic and the restaurant seems to be family owned. The food is simply amazing!! The only down side to this place is that they don't have a liquor license. That's not that big of a deal though because their food is simply amazing!

  • heather h.

The food is just ok, definitely not authentic mexican you can tell they try to cut corners to save money. When you sit down they give you free chips and salsa which are good. I ordered some guacamole to accompany my chips and the amount of guacamole they gave me was about 1/4 to 1/2 a cup and they charged me $3.95 for it. What makes it even worse is that you can tell they use some sort of filler in the guacamole (I think it is mayo or sour cream some restaurants do this so they can stretch their guacamole to go a long way). Avocados are expensive but not that expensive. My young daughter accompanied me to the restaurant and she is still in the process of trying to be more broad in her food likes so the fact that they offered chicken fingers was great as it would allow her to pick off of my plate to see if she liked the food. Well her chicken fingers were a complete joke at $4.25 and I get it, I know they are a mexican restaurant and some would say no one should be ordering chicken fingers off a mexican menu but come on it is not that hard to execute chicken fingers and many ethnic restaurants cater to children by offering some sort of American staple. I was appalled when I saw her chicken fingers. I ordered the chimichanga de camaron (shrimp chimichanga), it was OK - nothing special, nothing bad but nothing great. The service is not that great nor personable and I find that I feel rushed and they do not come to your table to check up on you or ask how your food is. They come take your order, drop your food and come to the end and drop your check.

  • Kathryn M.

This is the best Mexican food I have found so far. Still not as amazing as it is back home in CA but if I was really wanting Mexican food this definitely where I would go. The atmosphere is nice inside the restaurant and the table turn around is pretty quick even without being rushed. You never have to wait more than 20 minutes to be seated. If you are going to call in an order to go they sometimes don't answer the phone especially on busy nights because the kid behind the counter is running around seating people as well.

  • Harrison L.

We feel that this is the best Mexican place in the area, hands down. The chips and salsa are wonderful, and brought out quickly. The service is fast and friendly. The menu is extensive. And the food is wonderful. What's more, the owner looks just like El Macho from Despicable Me 2! Especially when he is wearing his usual red shirt. It's astonishing. You must see it for yourself. It's like they based the look of the character right from this guy! We don't even call the place Cancun. We call it "El Macho's." And we go there at least once a week. Never disappoints.

Everytime I come here the service is fast and friendly. Even when there is a wait, it doesn't seem to be that long. I love the food and atmosphere here.

Stopped in 30 minutes before the listed closing time. A few customers remained, but the waiter who greeted me did not hesitate to seat me at a booth, and take my drink order. Mexican? Corona will do nicely, thank you. The space was a rainbow of colored walls and furniture. The carved wood backs of the dinner chairs were painted brightly, and the distressed wood tables felt like those I had sat at throughout the southwest and Mexico. The atmosphere transported me out of Bucks and into Santa Fe, Tucson or maybe, Cancun. It was an easy trip. The chips and salsa arrived promptly and I had a quick taste. Hard and crisp shovels for spicy chunky sauce. Satisfactory, but perhaps not the best I've had. I was content to wait for the Chicken Flautas, which arrived with a light melted cheesy cover over three stuffed flutes. Rice and Refried Beans on a separate plate worked well together. I poured the remaining salsa over the flautas to achieve max flavor, and dug in. The tubes were full of large chunks of white meat chicken, beans, cheese, and a few sliced poblanos. Everything was well cooked and placed in the oven to bring everything to melting temperature. Very tasty and filling. Totally enjoyable. Why only 3 Stars? Well, I had to ask for slices of lime for the Corona. The Salsa was decent, but tasted ubiquitously the same as most store bought varieties, when a homemade approach might have offered something more uniquely their own. The melted white cheese sauce was a bit too mild, and poured too freely over everything, where more "kick" would have been more distinguishing. These are not serious shortcomings, as the dish remained enjoyable. Still, to be fan-worthy or more, there should be something original or memorable about the experience. I will definitely return to look for that special something, and when I find it, the stars will shine brightly.

    (3)
  • Thom S.

Food is very good and if you don't like spicy its perfect. If you do like spicy just ask them to spice it up and they will. The homemade salsa is awesome with the chips and I never really liked salsa before so that's saying something! Menu is a bit overwhelming at first but plenty of options! A friend even asked for a special made burrito and they had no problem with doing that. The staff is friendly and basically the same people. Kids seem to love the place with the colorful chairs and booths too. I definitely recommend this place over Margaritas up the street.

  • Michael G.

Came here with family and had a large party of 7 kids (10 through newborn) and 6 adults. The staff did not understand me as to our number in the party because he tried to sit us at a table for 8. Eventually this was resolved and thankfully the restaurant was not completely filled to be able to accommodate us by moving some tables. Service was attentive and food came out quite quickly. They had to remake one of the meals twice because they screwed up the gluten free request. My margarita was too sweet with no alcohol taste. The giant quesadilla with shrimp and Mexican sausage was fine...the sausage was not chunks of meat but crumbles. The guacamole was nice but needed some salt. My children's taco and burrito was devoured, and the kids pizza was pretty bad - one of those 6-inch mini pizzas that you throw in the microwave. My wife's chicken chimichanga was fine but she would not order it again. It did not suck, but we've had better. Overall, this is pretty much the result: it did not suck, but we've had better. I would not necessarily come back to Cancun, but I would not rule it out. A very reasonable $130 including tip for everyone!

  • Shruti J.

I love this place! They have authentic mexican food like what I have had in Miami before. I could not find a better mexican place in the area. I am surely visiting this place for my mexican cravings. The place is colorful and nice. The people are nice and welcoming. Except that there may be a tiny communication problem unless you speak Spanish fluently. Overall this is a great mexican place! They have the best salsa and falutas! :)

  • J T L.

I've been spoiled with great Mexican food from living in Arizona & Dallas. Compared to them, this place gets a negative rating. The chips & salsa that are served when you sit down are the highlight of the meal. From there, it's all downhill. The menu should be simplified (way too many options) so that they can focus on perfecting a few dishes instead. It's the best place other than Chick-Fil-A near Sesame Place though.

  • Debby H.

I have been to Cancun a few times, but as a Texan I never expect too much from Italian restaurants in Texas or Mexican places in PA. I have had 2 fabulous meals with great service at the new Margaritas, so I thought I should give Cancun another try. First, their salsa is little more than unsweetened ketchup. When I asked for a bottle of pepper sauce, they brought me a small bowl of sauce only a little hotter than the salsa. Later I discovered they charged me $1.89 for that & I wasn't pleased. The horror was the taco salad. I've eaten hundreds in my life & this was terrible! Much more sour cream than meat sitting atop limp shredded lettuce & tons of mashed, sticky refried beans in a small soggy shell. It was practically inedible. No one ever came to ask me about my food which I basically left untouched. No more Cancun for me & I suggest their fans not even consider a taco salad.

Both times I have been here, I was seated and served complimentary nachos and water within like 2 minutes of sitting down. Amazing food. Having lived in California for a few years, I was spoiled with the Mexican food out there and it is often hard to match the quality back here, especially outside of philly. But this place was great and the steak tacos are delicious. Very friendly and helpful staff. Don't listen to anyone who doesn't give this restaurant 5 stars.

The food was delicious!! Everything that we had was perfect. The guacamole is delicious and just creamy and wonderful. The service was stellar!! Every single person in the restaurant stopped to see if we needed anything and were all so very polite and attentive. If we're back in the area, we will definitely visit again.

Extensive menu and reasonably priced. Quality and portion size is very good. Nice atmosphere...very colorful...you my need sun glasses in the summer...lol. Speaking and understanding Spanish is a plus. Some waiters don't speak English or very little.

The food is authentic and absolutely out of this world. The salsa and guacamole are both exceptional but if you want something with a big kick, ask for the "spicy green sauce." I have no idea what it's called but it's WONDERFUL.

This was the first restaurant I visited when I moved to PA. After an 8 hour drive from upstate NY in a snow storm, I was cranky, stressed, and famished. Thankfully, I was none of those things after eating a delicious burrito and a large sangria. Born and raised in Southern CA, I'm familiar with Mexican cuisine and enjoy it immensely. This place has pretty authentic food, and a huge extensive menu. The staff is friendly and service is quick. My favorite part of my experience was the elaborately painted chairs and tables. Each one has a different colorful design. I wonder where they got these/ who made them? All in all, definitely worth a trip to eat here.

Yummy yummy. Fresh cheap food that blows away the horrible Tio Juan's down the street. The selection will also blow you away, it is such a large menu that If you can't find anything you like, your hopeless.

Very nice little place! Authentic Mexican, very nice portions. The salsa that they serve with chips is excellent. Terrific prices! Been there several times, service is always great and never a bad meal.

I took a friend from out of town here a few weeks ago. The service was fast and good. Very attentive. We had three different people ask if our drink order was taken, then two ask to take our food order! The beers were cold, the food was hot and plentiful. Very moderately priced. I was more than pleased when we left! I've been recommending this place since we ate there.

Nothing to write home about. Most of the food was alright, though not special. The nachos with beef turned out to be soggy and disappointing. I wouldn't make a special trip to get here again, but if I had to eat here, it would be just fine.

I have been there several times. I have taken small groups of 6-8. My wife and daughter went. They then brought their girlfriends. My circle of friends is a diverse group who tend to strain the abilities of restaurants, for instance asking an Italian restaurant to eliminate all garlic from their meal or no beef in the Irish stew. Yet all these people love Cancun restaurant and have happily returned with and without me. For my part, I clean my plate. In other restaurants I usually have leftovers and there is always a pile of detritus, little bits of the food that I find untasty and leave piled to one side of my plate. Turns out my wife, who usually eats half and takes half home, also cleans her plate. I am a large man and can consume quantities of food but I consciously take some home so as not to overeat. At Cancun, I cannot stop. The food is so tasty I finish, stuffed. About heat and spiciness, it is quite mild, but they will readily give you spicy sauce or salsa if you want more heat. We have been actively looking for a good Mexican restaurant. I absolutely hated the Margaritas experience down the road from Cancun. On the Border is to Mexican what Olive Garden is to Italian, the Americanized chain version. Don Pablo's was better but still a chain. You can get authentic Mexican in ethnic neighborhoods of Trenton and Norristown. But you run the risk of uneven quality and service, especially from some really small local places. Not everything is excellent at Cancun. Some of the staff rush in a false effort to serve you quickly. And I think many of them don't quite have a perfect grasp of English. But they are friendly and helpful at all times. My group of six lingered over coffee and dessert, comfortably fed and enjoying our companionship. The restaurant emptied and I know we kept the staff waiting for us to leave. We did not feel any pressure at all to get out and we got cheerful goodnights when we did finally leave. Sorry for keeping you folks at Cancun. However, we will be back many times. Finally, I noticed a high percentage of Central American looking faces and it reminds me that this food must be familiar as the food their mothers made. So I am guessing this is close to authentic.

I guess nobody else tried the chile relleno. OMG - instead of cheese, it had some kind of ground beef concoction. I specifically did NOT order any beef items when they told me it was ground beef and not shredded. Felt I was at Taco Bell. My wife's bean tostada was a tortilla with just runny beans - no garnish, nothing. I had the combo frajitas - the beef was chewy as were the shrimp. Then, they allow ladies to come through the restaurant selling flowers. If I wanted to be hounded while I eat Mexican food, at least it should be Mariachis, no? At least we used a groupon to minimize the pain. won't be going back.

awesome, authentic food at really good prices. Don't be fooled by the other "Mexican" restaurants in the area. Cancun is the best!!!! And, they now serve liquor!

I love cancun in my opinion it's the best mexican resturant in the area by far. The food is consistently good. The rice is delicious and the service is always quick. You get so much food for what you pay for. So much better then that awful chain that opened down the street

Not the cheapest Mexican restaurant I've been to but the food was fantastic. Staff doesn't speak a lot of English but they were attentive and helpful. You don't have a specific waiter, they just kind of stop by randomly. The food is amazing though.

There is definitely a severe lack of Mexican restaurant options in Lower Bucks because this place is always crowded! That being said, they work really fast here cause you never have to wait more than five minutes for a table and the servers are ready to take your drink order before you even sit down. First time I came here, I sat down and had a bit of salsa. The salsa tasted kinda bland, but also very familiar. I found out afterwards that Cancun is owned by the same folks who own Rey Azteca in Warminster, so that explains that. Like Rey Azteca, their menu is huge, everything is cheap, and they have tons of different combo options. I usually go for regular hard shelled tacos with beans and rice. Tacos are usually just topped with shredded cheese and onions or/and lettuce. Good tacos, but nothing particularly fancy. Their ground beef is more on the greasy side, but the tacos are still good. Also: I'm 99% sure that Cancun is BYOB, which is a plus.

$6.00 margaritas and couldn't taste the tequila. Commented on it to the waiter and he said "pay for more tequila then".

LOVE this place ! So excited ever since my husband and I discovered this cute authentic mexican place ! Firstly, they bring you chips and salsa soon after you're seated, perfect excuse not to have to order an appetizer. Secondly, anything I've ever ordered has been fabulous-- this includes the taco salad( my favorite!), enchiladas, quesadilla and tacos. And most importantly, very reasonably priced and service is wonderful.

  • Rafael D.

Overall it was a good experience and the pricing was extremely reasonable. Just a heads up, the Margaritas are OK but you may need to request an additional shot of tequila because it's more like a Slush Puppie without it. Service was good. Food was pretty good and portions were huge. I recommend the San Jose Burrito, Fajitas, and Quesadillas. I would avoid the Spinach Dip unless you're a huge fan of creamed spinach.

Hands down, one of the best places to eat in Bucks. The staff is attentive and courteous. The menu is large. Best Mexican fare in the area-better than any chain restaurant around!

We have been to this restaurant a few times and I have what I believe to be the pickiest child ever. If the food is not a color or look that pleases him that day then he is not eating. Cancun has is a sweet little gem hidden in Fairless Hills with the most consistent taste, portions and service, cleanliness and style. They have an extremely large menu. Knowing large menus as I do I like to find a few different items to try some safe some a little more daring. The salsa is a less salty and more natural flavor salsa the chips are hot and thick. Now I prefer things more salty though I totally love their salsa because more of the onion, tomato and cilantro flavors stand out. I have had the fajitas which are excellent, the tacos and burritos are very meaty, yes real meat! Very good flavor and kid approved (remember my picky son?) I order the Burrito Con Chrozio which are 2 sausage, potatoes and melted cheese. I am not sure how they mix the flavors so well but it is one of the most tastiest mexican dishes I have ever had. The sausage has a lot more flavor than other mexican places I have been. It is a must try! We've tackled the fried iced cream as a family the honey and chocolate was delicious. The shell had a nice cinnamon crispiness. It was a nice end to our meal.

My new fave Mexican restaurant. The food has always been excellent, the service is superior and the price is righteous. They have a liquor license so I can enjoy a Dos Equis or a Margarita and not feel ripped off by the prices. Go. Enjoy. Skip Taco Bell or Margarita's.

The food here is so good and fresh! I love it...always fast service...always delicious. I always get the chicken chimichangas fried. I have never been disappointed. The margaritas are huge... I had two one night...it definitely turned into a fiesta!!! Blast in a glass.

I love this place!!! It's really great Mexican food. The chips and salsa are always delicious (I usually have to get the chile relleño too - not sure if I spelled that right) and the prices are very reasonable. We have had great service every time we have been to Cancun Mexican Restaurant. Its a great spot in Oxford Valley when you don't feel like eating at a chain restaurant.

Food is pretty good tex-mex. the area doesn't offer much good Mexican. I was surprised to see American cheese slathered all over my food, but for 2 people stuffed and satisfied we spent under $20 including a nice tip. Been there a few times for quick lunch. Service is always fast and friendly

    (3)
  • Neil S.

Cancun offers mediocre Tex-Mex fare at prices that won't break the bank. While the food isn't dirt cheap, I didn't see anything over $15, and the portion sizes were more than adequate. The greatest offense of the meal occurred immediately with the salsa. It was a thin, watery affair that tasted of tomato paste and ketchup, not my style at all. The chips fortunately were hot, fresh, and crisp. Less egregious gaffes include one-note queso and canned-tasting enchilada sauce. The positive aspects of the meal included anything with spinach, as it tasted incredibly fresh with a nice, bitter flavor that let you know you weren't just eating dark lettuce. The quesadillas were well-constructed and had nice, thick crusted tortillas. The portion of my beef fajitas was gargantuan. The dish boasted so-so strips of beef complemented by perfectly charred veggies and pillowy tortillas. Beans were flavorful, and the guacamole tasted pure and fresh as it should. Service was off, a few things were lost in translation but we got the correct food. They have a liquor license now, limited to beers and margaritas. The margaritas were weaksauce and thus a ripoff at $7 a pop. All told, worth a stop if you're too lazy to drive to the city/other suburbs for better Tex-Mex, but I probably won't be returning any time soon.

  • Richie R.

Consistently great tex-mex food and our bill is always more than reasonable. Reminds me of Chi-Chi's, but more authentic. Although the staff's english skills cause worry, they almost never make a mistake. Also, order the cheese sauce with your chips. It will BLOW your mind!

On the heels of the previous night's fiasco at Tio Juan's Margaritas in Langhorne, my wife and I had lunch at Cancun which is also in Langhorne and close to Margaritas on June 27. What a difference. Margarita's was a total disaster culminating on our leaving after our first drinks and never ordering (see previous review). Not the case at Cancun. We were promptly greeted and seated as soon as we walked in. The waiter came over and took our drink order within moments of our being seated. The drinks arrived at the same time and were perfect. The food was very good and the portions were a decent size especially since we ordered off their Lunch menu. The waiter checked back on us several times to make sure we were happy with our meals and drinks. Overall this was a great experience and the food was of very close quality to what we were used to getting in the Southwest when we lived in Arizona and Southern California. Great job Cancun!!!! We will be back.

We were so happy to see a new Mexican restaurant in town. Variety in food is not something we have around here. We waited a little while before visiting (so that the staff could work out the kinks). The menu was huge! My favorite was the fact that there were 16 items in the Vegetarian menu. We started with the Guacamole dip and I must say I make it better ;) It was pureed and had a taste to it that was not pleasing to me. My husband liked it well enough though (to each his own). I ordered the Puerto Burrito because it had mushrooms, onions and beans and sounded tasty - and it was! My only complaint (and this was mentioned elsewhere here) was that my burrito was topped in what tasted like American cheese and I didn't taste the beans at all (if they were there). My husband ordered one of the special dinners and he said it was very good. We will certainly return since there aren't many choices and the food was tasty, but I've had better Mexican.

I ve been here a handful of time...I am mexican American and this doesnt come close to flavor or texture of authentic food as aI was advised. its a tex mex and no flavor on the meat or sauces for the enchiladas...its like frozen mexican food

How do I give this place less than one star? The food is absolutely disgusting. Disgusting is an understatement We ordered take out (2 burritos for $17), and it was so disgusting, we thew it away. Burritos at Taco Bell are 100 times better than this slop.

Just went there for lunch today and really liked it. Extremely inexpensive and the lunch menu is out of control!! There must be at least 50 items on there. I had the lunch pollo crema with rice and refried beans, and it was delish! The decor is really cute, especially the painted booths and chairs. The servers were nice and attentive. I will be going back again ... looking forward to sampling more of the menu!

Reasonably priced, good lunch specials and large portions. Always friendly service and decent mexican food considering the area. I would still choose cancun even if don pablo's and chi-chi's were still around. I am not going to say it is my favorite but a solid choice if you are in the area.

  • Linda M.

This is a nice place-and the food, while nothing extraordinary, is decent and portions good. The service is super fast...menu a bit too large and confusing, but certainly all the classic trad Mexican dishes are there. I will not return.

  • Erik M.

Fantastic food and atmosphere for a low price. As close to authentic as you'll get in this area. I'm not sure what the person who thought their salsa was an offense was eating but it must not have been their usual salsa. The salsa here is one of the favorites my family looks forward to having. We have eaten here multiple times and have never had an even average meal. The service could be better at speaking English though.

Best Mexican food I have ever had, granted I always lived in the Philly area, and mostly ate at big chain Mexican places, but this place knows how to cook it, spice it, and serve it quickly. Never a bad experience. If you like spicy, ask for the hot salsa(and mix it with the regular salsa they give you if you want to! Yum. Go here.

I am hispanic myself and what really gets me pissed are places like taco bell that serve decorated cow crap and call it Mexican food. Cancun serves the most authentic Mexican food that I have found in the United States. The tortillas are made fresh and the clash of Mexican flavors bring flavor and spice to your mouth. It's inexpensive and authentic food. If you want to treat someone to a real Mexican cuisine I highly recommend this place. I'm a regular there and have been ever since they opened. They have yet to disappoint me, but their foo and service always leave me wanting to come back for more.

Cancun is reliably good Mexican food, and the staff is fast, friendly, and mostly attentive. They seat you fast and take your drink order quickly, and you never have to wait for a basket of chips and carafe of salsa. The chips are delicious, not too thick or too thin, and best of all not overly salty. I am not a salsa lover at all, but theirs is mild, fresh and so flavorful...it's definitely my favorite. My husband and I were there a couple of weeks ago and we were also brought a small bowl of hot salsa with the chips and regular salsa. It was very good; flavorful and not hot just for heat's sake, if you know what I mean. I always order the same thing (burrito fajita hildago - it's awesome) and I always modify it (no tortilla, no rice, double beans) and nine times out of ten they get it wrong in one way or another. There is definitely a language barrier to overcome with most of the waitstaff but they try their best, so I'm satisfied.

Their Guac is good but they need to use a larger portion. I asked how much it would be for s large and they told Me it would be $12.00 for a large. I understand avocados are expensive but $12 for a 16oz Guac? I can make my own cheaper! That's why I knocked off a star. Their other foods are really good!

Friends from Levittown brought us here for lunch and we really enjoyed it. The inside is colorful with fun chairs and a great atmosphere. The service was friendly and the menu is expansive. The prices are really reasonable for the portion sizes and we all left very happy! Try the white queso dip - it's amazing!!!

  • Darlene O.

I love this place! If you want to eat quick and inexpensively then you should go here. The chips and salsa are on the table before I am even settled in my seat!! The waiters are the best! They are right on the ball with the refills. I usually try a different combination meal because I can never decide. The combo usually gives you about three items. For example last time I had a taco, chicken quesadilla, and burrito with a side of rice. The only thing I would change is that I like chunkier salsa. I like to see pieces of fresh tomatoes. The salsa is very good but somewhat pureed. But nonetheless I highly recommend eating here.

We went there for dinner and it was nothing special. My taco shells tasted stale and the upcharges for guac and pico were too much. I also felt the servers came off as uninterested and nearly rude the evening we were there. I felt like walking out after the drink order. The decor is interesting and the menu offers several items and combinations.

We picked this spot to try out after reading some of the reviews here. What we found was a colorful, friendly inexpensive, fun Mexican restaurant .I am a fan.......The atmosphere is similar to Los Margarita's,colorfully kitsch .The food was hot and plentiful lots of leftovers for late night snacking. .We ordered Chicken fajitas that comes with creamy re fried beans( don't get fooled by the look they taste great) all the standard sides. I missed the Mexican rice as you would get at most Mexican restaurant's the amount of chicken in our order more than made up for the absent rice.I asked for jalapenos and received a huge bowl of yummy peppers along with a mystery sauce that I don't know the name of,but it was great. The staff is friendly and checked on us enough but not so much we felt like they were intrusive..We brought our own cocktails.Fun night.

Just left the place. Its very pretty inside, and the staff is friendly and super-attentive. My wife got the chicken fajitas and I got the burrito con chorizo. Both were excellent. Some of the best Mexican I've ever had on the east coast. The burritos (and other things) come with a cheese sauce, but it IS NOT American cheese like one reviewer believed. Anyway, like other reviewers have mentioned the menu is ENORMOUS. I'm not kidding. You have been warned. Will I be back? Yes, at least once a week from now on.

I was very excited to try this restaurant as this area is sorely lacking in Mexican restaurants, and I love Mexican food. Sadly, however . . . Overall, ew. The place has cute decor, but didn't strike me as very clean. The waiter was friendly enough, but brought me food made on flour tortillas after I requested corn (and I am gluten intolerant). The food was pretty icky, with absolutely no attention to presentation. My meal was a heavily microwaved (could tell by the congealed sauce around the edge of my food) enchilada and and quesadilla just dumped on a plate. Taste very bland. My husband's food looked equally unappetizing, and he reported a total lack of flavor as well. Sadly, our wait for a decent local Mexican place continues . . .

I love Cancun. Its apparently not only a great vacation spot, but restaurant too! They have a large menu, authentic food and fair pricing. I personally love the chicken enchiladas there. Their salsa is also amazing that they serve with chips as an appetizer. If you are in the mood for Mexican and live in the area, I highly recommend trying Cancun!

Fair to good Mexican food from a chain restaurant. I would give this place a 2.5 rating but because of the location (starved of good Mexican food), it gets 3 stars. The good: the burritos and enchiladas are solid and taste like real mexican food. The beans are semi-pulverized and tasty. The ingredients are fresh and the construction of most fragile items, such as tacos and burritos, is sound. The menu is large and you can order almost any combination for lunch or dinner. The locations is great and the dining room is nice with high dividers betwen the booths. The bad: The chips and salsa are fair at best. The salsa looks and tastes like it is ground-up canned tomatoes not that much better than what you get in a jar at a grocery store. The chips are slightly better than bagged chips but dont taste like they were fried on premise. The guacamole is well-below average and tastes like it came from a bag. This opening is both a welcome sign and a bit of a disappointment. It's a convenient location for those of us in the 19067 and 19054 area codes starved for great Mexican food. But it's not great and you can get much, much better offerings at the Mexican Mariachi Grill in Ewing, NJ. This place is only a little bit better than a Chevy's or On The Border.

I love the inside of this restaurant. It is located in a strip mall, close to the AAA office. It is bright and colorful and you do kinda feel like you are in Mexico. The service is very friendly. That is why they get two stars. The food was just bland. I asked my veggie fajita's to be very spicy and they literally had no discernable flavor. My hubby had the carnitas and said they were okay.

I was craving mexican! I was always a big fan of Chi-Chi's when it was around. This place isn't like that. Atleast in my opinion. Husband ordered tacos and loved them while I ordered the chicken ench. and wasnt too happy with it at all. The cheese that they used seemed like store bought processed cheese melted all over my plate. I feel as if I could have made better at home. The chips/salsa was great. The chairs and decore was awesome. I wish my food was better. Might have to go back and give it another try.

I got take takeout from here and really enjoyed it. Order was ready for me when I arrived, came with tortilla chips and salsa. The price is great, they substituted corn tortillas for flour for me, which I appreciated. For lunch, the portions were a good size and with tortilla chips I couldn't even finish it all. Highly recommend this restaurant for more authentic/non-chain Mexican. It looked pretty dead during lunch time so you shouldn't have a problem getting a table on a weekday for lunch.

Will not take reservations for parties of any size. we will see how tonight goes with the wait, food and service. Ok so the portions were huge for the price the atmosphere was fun and it is kid friendly. O we sat immediately even though it was packed!

Inexpensive, ample seating, and more choices than you could ever want. I went here because I had a $30 gift certificate, and our two meals and drinks came out to $25, and they accepted the rest of the gift certificate as tip. Can't complain with a completely free meal! Great tacos, their shrimp is great, though their enchiladas left a little bit to desire. Definitely a good, inexpensive Mexican lunch or dinner that I would recommend to friends!

I love this place. When Don Pablo's closed there was no good Mexican left near me... then this place opened and I wasn't disappointed. The fajitas texanas are amazing. They recently acquired their liquor license so now you can enjoy Margaritas with your enchiladas.

Had takeout, small portions, some hidden charges of 50 cents here and there but I was too tired to argue. Food was mediocre nothing great, nachos were a rip off. Just some ground beef on top of a handful of chips. Only good thing was that the food wasn't spicy.

I've only been to Cancun once, but I really enjoyed my meal. Really good chips and salsa. Their chicken quesadilla appetizer was small and simple but really tasty. And their pork and chorizo burrito was awesome! The place was packed when we got there and the staff took care of us quickly and completely. Definitely check this place out.

Having grown up & spent 30+ years in Texas and California, I have an appreciation for small family run Mexican restaurants. Cancun is right up the with the better ones I've been to. Prompt friendly service and delicious, well priced food. Wish they were open for breakfast as an alternative to the bustling iHop next door.

This restaurant is surprisingly AMAZING!! The food and wait staff are out of this world! I have to start off by saying how extremely kid friendly this place is. First of all, they have adequate number of booths. I have two kids under 3yrs. old and sitting at a booth is a must for us. Secondly, the kids seciton of the menu offers a wide selection. You would think that at a Mexican restaurant, they would only offer kids cheese quesadilla, maybe a taco or two... not here! They offer kids about 15 different choices from hot dogs and fries to hamburgers and MORE! We love ordering the chicken nachos for an appetizer, it is actually made with real melted cheese, not some processed cheese. It is delicious! The service is great, the wait staff really hustles to bring patrons their food. The quick service is the third reason this place is so kid friendly! This is the perfect place to go for QUICK, inexpensive and delicious Mexican food! Oh and to top it off, they have their liquor license! You can order wine, beer and margaritas!

Love this place!! Food & service is MUCH BETTER than the new Margarita's Mexican restaurant up the road. Staff is always pleasant, quick, and hard working. Food is consistently great! I have eaten Mexican food in restaurants throughout the country, in TX, AZ, CO, and NM especially, and I still say this is pretty damn good, especially for PA. I used to frequent Playa Azteca in Plymouth Meeting & King of Prussia, also very good, but just moved to Bucks Cty., so Cancun is my new local fave. Also very family friendly, with a decent kids menu (and I have a picky 6yr old).

My follow up visit was pretty good. I know what works for me and order accordingly. The beef and chicken enchiladas are very good. I have yet to try a burrito. I LOVE this place! The staff is wonderful, the atmosphere is colorful and happy and the food is fantastic. I'm newer to the area and was so happy to find a great Mexican place so close to home. I'd give it more than 5 stars if I could!

Went with a party of 8 and was immediately seated (we made reservations for Saturday night which was busy). While inconsistent with orders and silverware, they were very attentive and came by often to see how we were doing. Everyone on wait staff was friendly and made for an enjoyable time. The food is average but not too pricey so you get what you pay for. I would go again if in a festive mood.

The service is good and the people are friendly but the food is just a bit lacking. I'm not one to co plane about too much cheese but my Los cocos was slathered in it. The quesadillas were a bit flavorless but The rice and beans were delicious. I'll definitely be back to try some hopefully better dishes!

We love Rey Azteca out in Warminster but it's a hike for us so we were thrilled when we heard they opened a second location in Langhorne (about 10 minutes from home). I wanted to love it, but sadly there were too many negatives for us to return anytime soon. Negatives: The wait staff could not have been less helpful or attentive. Drinks, chips and salsa and our meals were banged down on the table or pratically thrown at us. It was a Monday night and the place was pretty dead so it wasn't as if they were too busy to be attentive. I asked our waiter if the chile rellenos were battered since the ones at Rey Azteca aren't and he said yes. He didn't seem sure, or like he really understood my question, but I took his word for it. Out comes the plate with naked chiles. When I told the waiter delivering the food that I didn't want them he looked like he was going to dump them in my lap. Positives: The food was good, but slightly less then Rey Azteca. Chips were hot and fresh and we were brought a second basket without having to ask. I got my usual order (the Rey Azteca combo) and it was good. My husband was fine with his order (#4 combo) although there wasn't anything outstanding about it.

Cancun had some of the best mexican food hands down outside of Mexico itself. The menu is mind blowingly huge, prices are extremely reasonable (you can get two of their combo dinner platters for under $20) and their portions are just as big. Everything is so fresh and delicious. The food is so authentic as well. Be sure to get the refried beans as they are some of the best I've ever eaten.

This is by far the worst experience I have ever had at a restaurant in my life, regardless of the type of cuisine. After enjoying a day at sesame place with my wife and my daughter we decided to have dinner. Based on Yelp reviews, we went to this place to eat. Bad choice. The decor is poorly done, the server didn't even know what cranberry juice is. Then I asked another server if they had cranberry juice, and he didn't know what is was either. He asked me if it was the same as grape juice. We ordered our meal. The carne asada was paper-thin, over cooked, had no taste, it was unedible. The rest of the food tasted like salt and grease. And to top it off, we were not even done when the server dropped the check. Without even asking if we would like anything else. This is the type of places that bring bad reputation to the mexican cuisine. I would never return to this place and I would never recommend this place to anybody. The owner(s) should pay better attention to this place. I agree with Carrie M., this place does not even deserve half star. Terrible, terrible, and more terrible.

went back for dinner here again and the beans were a lot better. Nothing special but they actually had a taste to them this time and weren't bland as hell. The service was amazing as well. I got the enchiladas suizas (subbed out chicken for shrimp, crab and cheese instead). Very delicious!!!

Food is a good but not amazing. Fast service. Most plates are under $10. Cool chairs, but it's in a little strip mall.

This is the third time I have been here. I was hoping that things would improve but they have gone downhill. Tonite was bad enough that I will not return. Horrible service. Couldn't get extra napkins, refills on drinks, water. This is after asking multiple times.....nicely. The waiter took our order and we never saw him again. It took 45 minute for our tacos and enchiladas to come out. My wife's enchilada did not not have the filling that the menu stated......half of the ingredients were missing. My tacos were incinerated and devoid of all moisture and flavor. It was all I could do to choke them down. I would have sent them back if I was able to find my waiter or anybody that could understand me. Heck....I couldn't get a refill or water or a napkin after asking numerous wait staff. Upon leaving, we went to pay the bill but they couldn't find our waiter either to get it. At this point I asked to see the manager and was handed menus instead. The waitress then yelled to someone in Spanish and out came our waiter! I asked him to see the manager and was told that he was too busy to talk to me. I paid my bill, stiffed the waiter, and left. If you run a restaurant, please make sure to have staff that can at least communicate in English to avoid issues such as what my wife and I experienced tonight. All three times I have eaten here, the food was bland and dry, the wait staff was horrible and inattentive. Tonight was the pits. Do yourself a favor and eat elsewhere.

It's exactly what I look for in a Mexican restaurant: inexpensive, no-frills, family-oriented. Simple food but plenty of it. I will definitely be a repeat customer.

I'm not sure if is the Eagles chair (am ong a sea of beautifully designed and Mexican inspired seating), but I was really impressed by the decor as I walked into Cancun with my grandmother and toddler. Speaking of which, their children's menu is wonderful (just don't get the pizza because it is literally 3 notches below Ellios). The waiter and chef were both incredibly accommodating and helped me pick through the menu. I must say, though, part of the problem with Cancun is that you NEED help looking at the menu. I am a frequent feaster upon Mexican food, but the sheer size of their menu overwhelmed my indecisive mind. Once I finally made a selection, I was certainly very pleased. The chef even made substitutions for me when I requested some vegetables in lieu of rice, which him and I collaborated on at the table. He said "I GOT IT! How about some spinach, some uh.. mushrooms...and some uh.. onions and that kind of stuff." I mean, I think that's what he said, his accent was pretty heavy. "Sounds good to me!" And it was. It was very, very good. When you go, which you should, I recommend asking about the veggies!

3.5 actually....reading other reviews, I am surprised how varied they are! This is not a gourmet restaurant, but the servings are large and there are a lot of fresh veggies. Since I have been eating vegetarian meals, I find a lot of Mex is: lettuce, tomatoes, guac. These meals have potatoes, peppers, mushrooms, zuchinni, fresh spinach... and the rice and beans are tasty. There are 16 listed veg entrees on the menu (as long as you are OK with cheese... vegans probably need to make some special requests). Chips tasted fresh and are unsalted and the tortillas (flour, for fajitas) were toasted and good-tasting. If I had to ask for improvements, I would like chunkier salsa, more cilantro and more spice, but YMMV. Every employee I interacted with here was 100% nice and helpful even though the restaurant was busy. If you are fussy, you might want to read the menu first on line so that you get what you really want because there are a lot of options.

I have been in this place a few time and really enjoyed it. There are no good Mexican restaurants in the area and was excited when it opened. Good, friendly service and a byo. I could eat the enchiladas poblanos every single day, have yet to try something else because I enjoy the mole sauce on the enchiladas so much. I would chose cancun over las margaritas or otb.

Very attentive and friendly service, bright and colorful decor and I thought the food was very good. They have a huge menu with lots of veggie items. I'll definitely be back!

Really really good. The food was delicious and the service was extra friendly. Great to have a Mexican restaurant (especially a good one) in the area.

seems the place is a little inconsistent with quality of food and service....they need consistent staffing and better maintenance of quality to remain popular

Mexican Cuisine

If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.

Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.

Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.
